Join Penske Truck Leasing as a Lease Sales Representative responsible for identifying sales opportunities, conducting sales calls and customer visits within an assigned territory, and managing a sales pipeline to exceed monthly revenue quotas. This role seeks a self‑starter with strong communication, organization, and influencing skills, who thrives in a fast‑moving, matrixed reporting environment and is comfortable working within a geographic focus on customer interaction.
PositionSummary
Penske is a leader in transportation services that helps customers succeed. We are expanding our sales team and looking for passionate, highly motivated sales‑minded individuals. Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years of B2B sales experience, account and territory management, a bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.
Major Responsibilities- Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
- Recommend products to customers based on needs and interests
- Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain features, and solicit orders
- Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates
- Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and provide ongoing support
- Prepare estimates and proposals that meet specific customer needs
- Provide customers with product samples and catalogs
- Identify prospective customers using business directories, existing leads, trade shows, and conferences
- Arrange and direct delivery and installation of products and equipment
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales
- Provide account management to lease customers by resolving operational and financial conflicts
- Build relationships with leasing customers by acting as a transportation consultant, conducting periodic reviews, and managing the voice of the customer process
- Complete administrative duties related to account management, including follow‑up on accounts receivable and completing reports
- Manage communication between customers and the district, facilitating visits, documentation, and presentations
- At least 5 years of sales and customer service experience (service and transportation industry preferred)
- High School degree or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to work independently, deal with people, be detail oriented, prioritize, and stay organized
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
- Regular, predictable, full attendance required
- Willingness to travel as necessary and comply with background investigation and drug screening
- Read, communicate verbally and/or in written form, remember and analyze information, and understand instructions or guidelines
- Stand, walk, and sit frequently; use hands to touch, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; occasionally lift up to 25lbs/12kg
- Certain vision abilities required, including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focusing
$52,100–$67,700 per year
ScheduleGenerally a day shift, Monday – Friday, with potential changes according to business needs
