Veterinary Emergency + Referral Center (VERC) of Hawaii is a premier 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital. We are committed to providing exceptional care through our collaborative approach to veterinary medicine. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced diagnostics, including a full in-house laboratory, ultrasonography, CT, MRI, and electrochemotherapy.
We are seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine Team on a Wednesday through Saturday schedule. If you are passionate about specialty veterinary medicine and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you.
Details:
Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician;
Wednesday–Saturday 8 am–7 pm;
Compensation Range: $22.00-$32.00 hourly
- Educate clients extensively on internal medicine topics, including disease processes, medications, and follow-up care.
- Obtain and process laboratory samples (e.g., blood, urine, fluid aspirates).
- Utilize imaging modalities, such as radiographs, ultrasound, endoscopy, and CT scans.
- Perform, monitor, and recover patients undergoing sedation and anesthesia.
- Deliver compassionate nursing care and comfort to all patients.
- To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate proficiency in the responsibilities listed above and possess the following skills and experience:
- General nursing care and treatment of veterinary patients.
- Administering and monitoring anesthesia.
- Assisting veterinarians with procedures and diagnostics.
- Admitting and discharging patients.
- Communicating effectively with clients and educating them about their pet’s care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification or licensing as a veterinary technician is preferred but not mandatory.

Proactively manages responsibilities and works efficiently. - Strong Communicator:
Effectively interacts with clients, teammates, and other stakeholders. - Technical Expertise:
Applies knowledge and skills to meet department and organizational needs.
