Work HoursCasual Part-Time (Req # ). Rotating shift, 16 hours per week. Occasional overtime required, may be required to work beyond regularly-scheduled hours. Requires being on-call; must be flexible for scheduling of on-call assignments. Shift/weekend rotating required when necessary. Requires endurance to work long periods of time without relief.
Description of PositionThe Registered Nurse First Assistant is an perioperative registered nurse with advanced training and certification to perform intra-operative procedures in collaboration with and under the direction of a surgeon. The Registered Nurse First Assistant has an expanded nursing practice role and may be delegated certain medical functions in accordance with company policy, national standards and/or regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and RequirementsGraduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Hawaii required. (3) years previous experience in the Operating Room as a scrub person or circulator or related experience required. Current Registered Nurse First Assistant certification required (CRNFA) (Current Registered Nurse First Assistant eligible, and attains certification within 6 months of hire). Basic working knowledge of computers highly desirable;
or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position. Basic Life Support (BLS), Healthcare Provider, Level C, certification required, with retraining once every two years. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Healthcare Provider, certification required, with retraining once every two years.
Starting Hourly Rate $74.00
