Position Overview
Assists with the fabrication and installation of various commercial graphic and signage projects.
Essential Duties- Drills, cuts, and assembles substrates in the fabrication of all signs utilizing hand tools, power tools, and larger equipment such as a CNC router when necessary.
- Assists with the production of signs which may require vinyl‑cut text, custom inks, paint, digital prints, and screen printing on different substrates such as plexiglass, PVC, sandblast wood, banners, metals, and other specialty substrates.
- Assists with the installation of signs, banners, vinyl graphics, and other graphic/visual media in accordance with job specifications and under the direction of the Lead Sign Installer.
- Assists with maintaining appropriate inventory levels of raw materials, finished signs and supplies. Stores raw materials, finished signs and supplies in proper locations.
- Assists with quality control checks and wraps and palletizes finished signs in preparation for delivery and/or installation.
- Assists with documentation on production and material usage logs using appropriate raw material and MUTCD (Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices) sign codes.
- Assists department with general maintenance and cleaning of equipment, small tools and overall shop area and job sites.
- Participates in the annual inventory count.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to work on various construction jobsites and commercial spaces, both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing setting with various machines, tools and chemicals.
- Ability to work at various heights on ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts, aerial buckets and other mechanical lifting/lowering equipment.
- Shop normal operation hours are Monday‑Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
- Must be available on‑occasion after hours, nights, weekends and holidays to facilitate customer installation requirements and/or manufacturing/delivery deadlines.
- Inter‑Island Travel based on operational needs.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles of 10,000 GVW (and under) on a consistent basis.
- Ability to safely operate an LPG forklift and electrified lifting devices such as scissor lifts and aerial buckets.
- Ability to safely operate pneumatic and power tools.
- Able to work under pressure or in a deadline‑driven environment; the ability to follow instructions; collaboration and cooperation with colleagues.
- Able to multitask.
- Proficient in math and the ability to calculate on a consistent basis.
- Able to wear respiratory protective equipment.
- Must be able to pass a medical evaluation for inclusion into the company's respiratory protection program.
- Must be able to communicate orally, electronically and in written form with management and sales teams, both internally and externally.
- Must be able to communicate orally, electronically and in written form with customers, clients and vendors.
- Computer Skills
:
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Email desired. Adaptable to in‑house software. Keyboarding skills sufficient to complete tasks in a timely manner. - Calculator
: 10‑key helpful. - Math
:
Good mathematical skills to calculate measurements using a measuring tape and to calculate quantities of materials required for jobs. - Reading
:
Able to read and understand work orders and other work‑related documents and forms. - Licenses
:
Valid Hawaii driver's license and favorable traffic abstract. - Education
:
High school degree or equivalent required. - Experience
: 1 year experience working in manufacturing, installation or skilled trade environment. May substitute work experience with trade school education in a related field.
