Executive​/President

The President / Executive Officer will provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the company’s Hawaii business. This role requires a seasoned food industry executive with extensive relationships across Hawaii’s food ecosystem, including suppliers, distributors, retailers, food service operators, regulators, and community stakeholders.

The successful candidate will leverage deep local market knowledge and trusted industry connections to drive sustainable growth, strengthen partnerships, and ensure long-term business success while maintaining strong operational discipline and brand integrity.

• Develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies aligned with the company’s mission and growth objectives in Hawaii
• Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion strategies within the local food industry
• Represent the company as the senior executive in Hawaii, strengthening brand presence and credibility in the market

• Utilize extensive personal networks across Hawaii’s food industry (manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, food service, and hospitality) to create and expand business opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and strategic partners
• Act as a trusted industry leader and liaison with trade organizations, government agencies, and regulatory bodies

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance
• Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed
• Lead, mentor, and develop the executive and management team
• Build a high-performance, locally grounded organization that reflects Hawaii’s business culture and values
• Ensure effective succession planning and leadership continuity

• Report to the Board of Directors and/or parent company on business performance, risks, and strategic initiatives
• Ensure strong corporate governance, internal controls, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Serve as a key spokesperson for the company when engaging with external stakeholders

• Lead overall business operations with a strong focus on sales and customer relationships
• Directly negotiate with buyers, distributors, and business partners on behalf of this company
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships within Hawaii’s close-knit food industry community
• Expand and strengthen this company’s market presence in Hawaii
• Actively engage in day-to-day operations in a hands-on manner
• Serve as the primary executive representative of this company in the local market
• Motivate and support team members through positive, encouraging communication

• Extensive experience in the food industry, with senior leadership experience (President, CEO, GM, or equivalent)
• Deep, long-standing connections within Hawaii’s food industry and related business communities
• Strong understanding of Hawaii’s unique market dynamics, distribution structures, and regulatory environment
• Proven track record of driving growth and managing profitable operations
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Proven sales capability, including direct negotiation with buyers
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills
• Hands-on, adaptable, and able to handle a wide range of responsibilities independently
