Vice President of Marketing Research Services

FINN Partners’ Honolulu office is looking for a Vice President of Research Services to serve in a leadership capacity for their primary research team. This role will manage staff development, efficiency, and productivity; grow client relationships; and bring in new business.

Location:

Honolulu, HI.

To be considered, you must be located in Honolulu and be expected to work in the office at least 4 days a week. Occasional evenings, weekends, or overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day counsel and leadership to a staff of 4–5 research generalists and specialists, including a Call Center manager overseeing a team of 10–12 part‑time interviewers.

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the Research team.

• Identify operational improvements and efficiencies, mentor and motivate staff, and maintain a positive work environment.

• Provide strategic counsel to clients and internal stakeholders.

• Connect Research to other parts of the company through strong cross‑functional collaboration.

• Identify and secure new business opportunities for the Research team, develop account growth strategies, and enhance the company’s service capabilities and offerings.

• Develop and strengthen existing client partnerships while continually exploring new partnerships and methods to stay current.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and ethical guidelines in data collection.

• Manage administration of airport badging and security clearances needed for in‑person intercept interviews at Hawaii airports.

• Allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and client expectations.

• Provide support and input into proposed research design.

• Manage all phases of select qualitative and quantitative market research projects to ensure they accomplish research objectives within the appropriate timeline and budget.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years’ experience in management, market research, marketing, project management, or related field.

• Three (3) years’ experience in a leadership role with people‑management responsibilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Behavioral Sciences, Marketing, or a related field.

• Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

Desirable Qualifications

• Master’s degree.

• Experience in a marketing or market research agency serving multiple clients in different industries.

• Eight (8) years’ experience in management, market research, marketing, project management, or a related field.

• Five (5) years’ experience in a leadership role with people‑management responsibilities.

• Knowledge of and familiarity with Hawaii’s business community, thought leaders, and prospective purchasers of market research and polling services.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $100,000–$130,000 commensurate with experience.
