Join Our Team at Hawaiian Building Maintenance! Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and detail-oriented experience to clean and maintain a commercial building. While previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred, it is not mandatory.

• Position: Utility/Janitorial
• Location: Kakaako (Honolulu, HI 96814)
• Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday 1:00PM – 9:30PM
• Compensation range: $18.25 per hour

• Communicate effectively in English and understand assigned tasks.
• Adhere to safety procedures at all times.
• Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times.
• Report safety concerns or building issues (e.g., burnt light bulbs).
• Work well both as part of a team and independently.
• Ability to work in various environments and conditions.
• Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
• Clean and maintain a commercial building thoroughly: sweep, dust (high and low areas), mop, use a leaf blower and pressure wash, sanitize and wipe down areas.
• Specific areas: parking lot, elevator, barbecue area, rooftop space, tables and chairs in the seating area, and walkways.
• Remove any fecal matter and rubbish found throughout the building.
• Collect and dispose of trash from bins, wastebaskets, and recyclables; replace trash bag liners.
• Address spills promptly by cleaning the area and placing a caution sign.
• Restock supplies as needed.
• Inform the appropriate HBM employee about any required cleaning supplies or equipment.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by HBM supervisor or property manager.

  Qualifications:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• Previous janitorial, custodian experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to train.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Must have good public relations skills and communication.
• Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, and stand throughout their shifts.
