Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and a detail-oriented mindset to clean and maintain a commercial location. While previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Compensation per hour: $17.50

• Maintain cleanliness in common areas of the facility.
• Communicate effectively and comprehend English.
• Interact with customers, vendors, and management.
• Clean and maintain various areas: sweeping, mopping, cleaning glass doors and mirrors, maintaining restrooms, and using a buffer machine in designated areas such as office spaces, parking lot, and hallway/walk path.
• Operate a vacuum for indoor cleaning.
• Clean restrooms and restock supplies.
• Collect and dispose of trash in designated areas.
• Lift trash from bins, bend, and navigate staircases.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Push trash bins as required.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by HBM management.

• Must pass HBM prescreen.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, but training will be provided.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Strong public relations and communication skills.
• Applicants must be able to perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 30 lbs (up to 50 lbs), and be capable of reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, walking, and navigating stairs throughout their shifts.
