Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and a detailed oriented individual to clean and maintain a commercial location. While previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred, it is not mandatory.

All applicants must successfully pass HBM prescreen check, and certain roles require a valid Hawaii driver’s license and have a dependable vehicle. • Compensation per hour: $16.00

• Ensure cleanliness of shared areas within the commercial space.
• Effective communication skills and a good understanding of English.
• Carry out tasks such as sweeping, dusting, emptying trash into designated areas, replacing trash bag liners, and cleaning up spills.
• Restroom cleaning.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
• Wipe down all tables and chairs.
• Demonstrate the ability to stand, bend, and walk the duration of shift.
• Lift and push trash bins as necessary.
• Operate various cleaning machinery such as leaf blower, power washing machine, floor stripping and waxing/swing machine, floor scrubber, ride‑on machine/walk‑behind floor cleaner, trash compactor, baler machine, carpet cleaning equipment, based on the candidate’s location.
• Notify the supervisor if any machines, light bulbs, or specific items are malfunctioning on the property.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or property manager.

• Must pass HBM prescreen.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous janitorial, custodian, housekeeping experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to be trained.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Must have good public relations skills and communication.
• Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, press, pull, carry a minimum of 15+ pounds, reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk up and down stairway, use an elevator, use a ladder, climb up and down and stand throughout their shifts.
