Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and detailed oriented individual to clean and maintain a commercial location. While previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred, it is not mandatory.

All applicants must successfully pass HBM prescreen check, and certain roles require a valid Hawaii driver’s license and have a dependable vehicle. Sunday and Saturday: 2PM-10:30PM and Monday to Wednesday: 2PM-10PM (Days off: Thursday and Friday)

• Ensure the commercial space remains clean and well-maintained.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces that are being touched frequently
• Ensure restrooms are clean and supplies are restocked as necessary.
• Inform the appropriate HBM employee about any needed cleaning supplies or equipment.
• Report safety concerns or building issues (e.g., burnt light bulbs).
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or property manager.
• Clean office spaces thoroughly.
• Ability to work with heavy equipment.

• Sweep, dust, mop
• Cleaning glass doors and mirrors
• Collecting and disposing of trash from bins, wastebaskets, and recyclables in designated areas
• Replacing trash bag liners
• Cleaning up spills
• Inform the appropriate HBM employee about any needed cleaning supplies or equipment
• Report safety concerns or building issues (e.g., burnt light bulbs)
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or property manager
• Clean office spaces thoroughly
• Lift trash from bins, bend, and navigate staircases as needed
• Push trash bins when necessary

• Vacuum for indoor cleaning
• Leaf blower for outdoor spaces
• Power wash machine
• Buffer or Scrub machine
• Wipe down all tables and chairs effectively

• Must pass HBM prescreen.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.
• Previous janitorial, custodian experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to train.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Must have good public relations skills and communication.
• Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, stair and ladder climbing and stand throughout their shifts.
