The State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). seeking a Visitor Information Program Assistant II. The successful applicant will be responsible for greeting, welcoming, and assisting the traveling public in providing information of interest relative to hotels and other accommodations, ground and air transportation, tourist attractions, and activities.
The Visitor Information Program Assistant II will also be required to speak a designated foreign language while conversing with the traveling public and others, and provide interpreter services as needed.
Responsibilities- Greet and assist the traveling public
- Provide information on accommodations, transportation, and attractions
- Speak a designated foreign language and provide interpreter services
- Experience demonstrating the ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
- A high degree of verbal skill
- Progressively responsible experience demonstrating patience, tact, and an even temper in meeting and dealing with others
- Ability to speak one of the following languages in addition to English:
Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Tagalog, Hawaiian, Samoan - Valid driver's license
