Information Technology Specialist; SYSADMIN NF- Security Clearance

Position: Information Technology Specialist (SYSADMIN) NF-04 with Security Clearance
Duties
* Performs work that involves planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and/or maintenance of hardware or software systems using standard principles, theories, concepts and methods for systems administration.
* Implements security plans, policies, and preventive maintenance schedules. Utilizes diagnostic tools and techniques to verify operability, optimize the functionality of networks and/or systems, and to diagnose/recover failed systems.
* Carries out routine maintenance, upgrade, and support of hardware, operating systems, and/or applications software.
* Provides ongoing optimization and problem solving support to minimize interruptions in customers' ability to carry out critical business activities.
* Manages network rights and access to systems and equipment. Interprets and applies information security and information assurance policy, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services. Requirements Conditions of employment

* A one-year probationary period may be required.
* Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
* Appointment subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks. Must currently possess or obtain and maintain a satisfactory Tier 3R investigation.
* Must possess or obtain (within 6 months of employment) and maintain most applicable Computing Environment (CE) Certificates of Training and a minimum Information.
* Assurance baseline security certification of Security+ equivalent (or higher certification) in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Technical, Level II technicians. Minimum Qualifications:

* Specialized IT experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training or IT certification which demonstrates skill in applying:
Principles and methods for integrating information systems components;
Performance tuning tools and techniques;
System diagnostic tool and fault identification techniques;
Systems administration methods; and IT security principles. OR, Completion of a master's degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree in computer science/engineering, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours as indicated above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.

1. Must possess and provide a valid CompTIA Security + Certification document.
2.Possess a minimum three (3) years of experience working with ISP Circuit Management, Enterprise Firewall Management, Network Routing/VLANS, Managed Switches, Dell Server Management, Microsoft Server Active Directory and Hyper-V Clustering with Failover Management, Microsoft Enterprise Windows OS, Fiber and Copper Infrastructure, IT Procurement and Purchase Requests, Life Cycle Management, and Commercial Wired and Wireless Internet Service.
