Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide subject-matter expertise and instructional design support for the development of foundational artificial intelligence (AI) curriculum, collaborating with faculty, academic units, and university initiatives.
* Serve as primary software developer for AI-related courseware and instructional technology tools, including prototyping, implementation, and iterative improvement of digital learning assets.
* Lead technical project management activities for AI curriculum initiatives, including planning, coordination, documentation, and delivery across multiple work streams.
* Coordinate and communicate across technology, web, curriculum, and AI task force teams, as well as other internal and external stakeholders, to ensure alignment of technical and pedagogical goals.
* Support evaluation, integration, and responsible use of AI technologies within academic contexts, in alignment with university policies and strategic priorities.
* Perform other related duties as assigned in support of academic technology innovation initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Computer Science, Educational Technology, Instructional Design or related field and 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities in instructional technology, curriculum development, software development, or academic technology roles solutions; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
* Demonstrated experience developing digital learning tools or AI-enabled instructional assets.
* Proficiency in software development (e.g., Python, JavaScript, APIs, LMS integrations, or equivalent).
* Experience collaborating with faculty and academic stakeholders on curriculum initiatives.
* Strong project management skills, including planning, documentation, and multi-workstream coordination.
* Knowledge of AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, machine learning fundamentals) and their application in educational contexts.
* Understanding of responsible AI use, data privacy, and compliance in academic environments.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
