Systems Administrator Senior – TS/SCI required

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:
As a Systems Administrator Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful supporting mission of US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).
- Responsible for activities related to system administration.
- Assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work.
- Ensures long‑term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software.
- Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
- Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
- Provide support to IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems.
- Install/load operating system and application software.
- Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.
- Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree - Experience:
12+ years of related experience - Technical skills:
- Ability to provide in‑depth experience in trouble‑shooting IT systems.
- Be able to provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Security clearance level: TS/SCI
- US citizenship required
- Required Certification(s):
- DoD 8570.01‑M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification.
- IAT III 8570/8140 Baseline Certification CISSP, Security X or equivalent.
- Computing Env: MSCA 2016, Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent (Must obtain full AZ104 Microsoft Azure Administrator within 180 days from start date.)
- Role Requirements:
- On customer site daily support.
- Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract.
- Position may require lifting of objects (i.e., IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e., plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity.
- Travel may be required to support the mission.
- Skills:
Azure Active Directory (AD), Computer Backups, Computer Servers - Top Secret/SCI clearance currently possessed; must be able to obtain Top Secret SCI + Polygraph.

Salary range: $91,800 - $124,200. Compensation will be set based on experience, geographic location and contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
