This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.

It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA OC/CE/PACIFIC FIELD COMMAND - PLANS & PROGRAMS DIVISION.

• Provide expert technical assistance to U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) mission partners on the Defense Information System Network (DISN), with an emphasis on planning, management, technical oversight, and fielding of C4 capabilities.
• Assist USINDOPACOM and its component commands to develop, articulate, plan, and implement system improvements for tactical and strategic C4 capabilities, ensuring compliance with DoD security and interoperability standards.
• Prepare and present cohesive analyses and briefings to advise leadership on new technological developments and techniques that enhance operational readiness and ensure secure, reliable, and efficient communications systems.
• Provide leadership and programmatic guidance for fielding new information technology capabilities and pilot efforts, such as Zero-Trust Architecture, Mission Partner Environment, and Enterprise Voice Services.
• Represent the agency at designated forums and conferences, working closely with customers and contractors to maintain responsive support and ensure customer requirements are incorporated into planning cycles.

• This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
• In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) as a condition of employment.
