We are looking for a seasoned Technical Writer to enhance the documentation for Confluent, our advanced version of the Apache Kafka distributed streaming platform. If you are passionate about technology and effective communication, you'll excel in our culture that emphasizes quality documentation, enabling developers to leverage a robust streaming platform as a core part of their operations.

• Partner with Engineering, Product, Support, and other teams to create impactful documentation that drives customer success.
• Produce documentation with cohesive examples, uniform styling, and superior quality.
• Develop documentation that is SEO‑friendly and LLM‑optimized, ensuring it is searchable, browsable, and automated.

• 5+ years of experience in crafting technical documentation aimed at external developers.
• Outstanding writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates high‑quality technical documentation.
• Familiarity with modern documentation tools, including Git and Git Hub.
• Experience with re Structured
  
  Text, Markdown, or similar markup languages.
• Ability to read and understand programming languages like Java or Python.
• Expertise in documenting cloud products and distributed systems technologies.
• Proven project management skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Experience using generative AI tools for content creation and clarity enhancement.
• Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, Learning Technology, or a related field.
