WARSIM Technician – SECRET clearance required (FT Temporary)

Join General Dynamics Information Technology as a WARSIM Technician supporting the Joint Multinational Simulation Center – Indo Pacific (JMSC‑IP). This full‑time temporary position is open for a maximum of twelve months and requires a SECRET clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.

• Provide installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware.
• Perform system management and administration for a distributed computing environment of military simulation systems (JLCCTC‑MRF/WARSIM, JLCCTC ERF/JCATS, Low Overhead Drivers). Integrate these systems with Mission Command Systems and administrative systems to support tailored unit digital training.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert on Constructive systems used for training at JMSC‑IP.
• Manage the functionality and efficiency of a computer group running one or more operating systems. Maintain integrity and security of servers and systems.
• Set up JLCCTC‑MRF/WARSIM and LOD administrator and service accounts.
• Participate in special projects as required.

• Education:
  
  AA/AS in a related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and training.
• Experience:
  
  3+ years of related work experience and advanced knowledge of IT and business issues.
• Technical skills:
  • Proficient knowledge of Army Warfighting Functions:
    Mission Command, Movement and Maneuver, Intelligence, Fires, Sustainment, Protection.
  • Proficient knowledge of JLCCTC‑MRF/WARSIM technical and functional operations and Low‑Overhead Driver (LOD).
• Certifications:
  
  Must obtain CompTIA Security+ within 90 days of employment.
• Clearance: SECRET clearance required with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Skills and abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to advise leadership in non‑technical terms.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of troubleshooting methods and support for information systems.
  • Proficiency with related hardware and software.
• Preferred:
  Intelligence WfF experience, WIM experience, SCENGEN, VMare and cloud computing.
• Location:
  
  On customer site, moderate travel required to other customer sites within AoR.

Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Travel: 10‑25%. Telecommuting: onsite.

Work location:

USA HI Schofield.

Hourly rate approximately $29.75–$40.25, based on experience, location, and contract.
