• At least one year of banquet experience within a resort environment
• Experience in properties with 50,000+ group room nights and Food & Beverage operations
• Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Suite
• Experience with Delphi or similar event management software (highly preferred)
• Union experience (a significant plus)

The annual salary range for this role is $75,000-$85,000 plus banquet gratuities and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

As a Banquet Manager, you would be responsible for managing the daily execution of all banquet functions to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Manage daily Banquet functions including planning, organizing, and executing breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, galas, etc.
• Oversee the setup of function rooms according to event specifications and perform full inspections of linens, silver, glassware, chinaware, etc.
• Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, scheduling, counseling and evaluations, and recognition.
• Recruit, interview, and train team members.
• Communicate function specifications, procedures, and changes with affected departments including Food & Beverage, Event Services, Property Operations, Audio Visual, and Housekeeping.
• Oversee the breakdown of the function room and proper storage of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.
