, considered Hawaiʻi’s premier senior living community, is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Resident Care Assistant (RCA) to join our team.
As a Resident Care Assistant
, you will assist residents with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to ensure they receive person-centered care and support. You will follow the direction of the Charge Nurse, ADON, and DON, and work with residents in Assisted Living and Memory Support on a rotating basis. If certified as a CNA, you may also be assigned to work in the Nursing Unit as needed.

DAY (6:00am - 2:30pm), EVENING (2:00pm - 10:30pm)
NoteThis position does NOT require a Hawaii CNA license and does NOT provide relocation assistance.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Ability to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays, as required to meet resident care needs.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to communicate with residents, families, physicians, and associates.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions and apply critical thinking in daily tasks.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and solve problems under minimal supervision.
- Ability to accurately observe, report, and document changes in resident condition to the licensed nurse in a timely manner.
- Proficiency with basic computer functions, including email, web browsers, and electronic health record (EHR) systems to document resident care and complete assigned tasks in accordance with facility policy and regulatory requirements.
- Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with State of Hawai'i regulations.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within required time frame after hire).
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a nurse aide, caregiver, or resident care assistant in a healthcare, long-term care, assisted living or memory care setting.
- Completion of state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
- Current State of Hawai'i Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in good standing.
- Experience providing care for residents with dementia, cognitive impairment, or memory care needs.
