This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) Hawaii. Tripler Army Medical Center is seeking Clinical Psychologists to join our growing team. At Tripler, you will practice alongside civilian and military health care experts and experience unique professional opportunities. Our staff serves by caring for our military but are not subject to military requirements. We operate within safe staffing standards - giving you time to provide exceptional care.
Also known as the “big pink building on the hill”, Tripler is a 450 bed, Level II Trauma facility and participates in unique partnerships with civilian facilities to provide care to non-beneficiary trauma victims.

Responsibilities- Screen and interview patients and perform bio‑psychological social evaluations, using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to psychological counseling.
- Conduct therapy, monitor, approve, and document all treatment planning, and provide advice using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to psychological counseling and testing.
- Develop treatment processes and procedures for orientation of patients.
- Evaluate overall effectiveness of therapeutic efforts.
- Provide structure and procedures for organization of case staffing information.
- Execute performance initiatives through revision of clinical standards and procedures and perform a wide variety of quality management/quality assurance duties to meet regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and revise standard operating procedures.
- Develop, approve, and execute the professional business plan and conduct program evaluation.
- Review statistical data provided in reports of special actions to direct budget priorities, direct manpower surveys, and brief reports for command and higher headquarters.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate professional development activities, using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to clinical psychology.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one‑year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist
:
Successful completion of a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
Specialized Experience
:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes:
License
: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.
