Position: Clinical Imaging Assistant (Full-Time 40, Night Shift)

RESPONSIBILITIESI. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs administrative and patient care duties as assigned.
  • Assists technologists with patient care duties before, during and after procedures.
  • Maintains accurate records of electronic images stored in the imaging management system, including tracking and resolving discrepancies, resolving patient charges, and providing diagnostic reports to providers.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Standing, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, pushing/pulling usual weight of 2 up to 5 pounds of force, reaching above, at, and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, frequent gripping of an object.
  • Frequent: sitting.
  • Occasional: stooping/bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, lifting and carrying weight of 10 pounds up to 20 pounds.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
  • May be exposed to chemicals, body fluids, communicable diseases.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION SA. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
B. EXPERIENCE
  • One (1) year patient care and/or clerical/office experience; or currently enrolled in a Radiologic Technology program.
  • Knowledge of computer and imaging information systems including scheduling, using Care
    * link/Radiant system required.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced health care environment.
  • Prior acute care hospital experience in a comparable medical center highly desirable.
