Role Overview

The Performance Specialist is responsible for assisting the Performance Improvement /Risk Management in collecting and reporting performance metrics, implementing development programs, and collaborating with managers and the Medical Staff to drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with business goals.

The pay range for this position is $26.40 - $39.60 per hour, commensurate on years of experience.

Responsibilities
  • Process Analysis:
    Evaluate existing workflows, systems, and processes to pinpoint areas for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Data Collection and Analysis:
    Gather and analyze performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to quantify problems, track progress, and update dashboards.
  • Solution Development:
    Work with cross‑functional teams to develop practical solutions, which may include process redesign or the implementation of new technologies.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Lead or participate in projects using methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, or RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to achieve ongoing enhancements in patient safety.
  • Training and Documentation:
    Create and deliver training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other documentation to support successful adoption of optimized processes.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare and assist in presenting reports on project performance, findings, and recommendations to leadership and other relevant committees.

Education
  • High School Diploma / GED - Preferred
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing, Business, or related field - Preferred
Additional Experience
  • Minimum three (3) years previous medical records experience preferred, especially Epic.
  • Proven experience in process improvement, or related roles.
  • Methodologies:
    Proficiency with process improvement methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, RCA, PDCA.
  • Analytical

    Skills:

    Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement. Attention to detail.
  • Communication:
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with teams, influence stakeholders, and facilitate change.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Familiarity with process mapping tools and potentially process automation or other technology solutions.
  • Time Management:
    Strong organizational and time management skills.
