While upholding the larger TSA goal, Family Treatment Services provides a puʻuhonua designed for women and children on their journey toward living a life free of substance use and violence. We provide gender responsive residential and outpatient treatment, infant mental health and family services and supportive housing that helps women create healthy, supportive relationships in their lives and set them on the path toward achieving their self-directed goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop clinically appropriate treatment plans with assigned clients and revise as scheduled.
  • Provide individual substance abuse counseling, group therapy, family counseling, and case management services as assigned.
  • Provide classes and psycho-educational groups related to addiction, relapse prevention, family issues, women’s issues and/or other appropriate topics.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records for each assigned resident, noting significant problems and progress (using the WITS system).
  • Prepare written reports and correspondence related to case management in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide ongoing written or verbal communication to other program staff or referral agencies related to client needs or concerns to assure coordination of services.
  • Participate in treatment teams across the continuum of services at FTS in accordance with assigned clients.
  • Work closely with Treatment Services Supervisor to support positive structures, procedures, policies, and trainings across the treatment continuum and for the treatment teams.
  • Maintain all credentials and certifications, as specified by agency policy and procedures.

Additional Employee Responsibilities at FTS:

  • Responsible for regular attendance and notification of any absences (at least 3 hours prior to start of shift) or requests to flex schedule (allowed only after proper approval received).
  • Use of TSA approved communication devices only (i.e. work email and work phone numbers). Timely response (within 24 business hours) to calls/texts/emails is expected.
  • Correctly and promptly follow specified agency procedures required for the appropriate handling of all Emergency Response Codes.
  • Participate in mandatory FTS trainings and quarterly staff meetings to keep updated with best practices and agency news.
  • Complete annual health evaluations and TB clearances (per OHCA licensing regulations) and any other additional contract or licensing related employee requirements. Provide completed documentation to Administration.
  • Maintain work area in a neat, orderly and sanitary manner.
  • Perform other related duties as may be required or assigned to meet program needs.
