About the Hospital

Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not‑for‑profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24‑hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high‑risk perinatal care.

Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.

Founded on the philosophy of empowering women to take charge of their health, Kapi‘olani Women’s Centers have been helping women to take good care of themselves and their families for years. Through the Women’s Centers, clients receive health screenings, diagnostic tests and treatment services at our two convenient locations in Honolulu and Aiea. Kapi‘olani Women’s Centers are the only Oʻahu facilities to be named Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.

The Centers rank among the top five percent in the nation. Other areas of health care at the Women’s Center include bone health and osteoporosis, menopause, ultrasound, women’s counseling and coaching, aesthetics, massage, acupuncture and various educational classes geared toward healthy living.

You could gain valuable first‑hand clinical operations and health care experience as a Clinic Assistant. In this role you would perform routine tasks ranging from monitoring supplies to administering health care to patients of all ages to supporting departmental staff. We are looking for someone diligent and motivated, who enjoys learning in a fast‑paced clinical environment and shares our commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

Pay Range: $25.22 – $26.55 per hour

Category: Medical Support Staff

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card.
• Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion or orientation period.

• One (1) year back‑office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician’s office, or related setting.
• Experience with Epic.
