  • Part‑time B – 20 to 29 hours per week (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, Sun)
Position Type

This is a short‑term, temporary position covering six months. After the period, you may apply for other roles with Arcadia Family of Companies.

What You’ll Do
  • Contribute to the planning, organization, and facilitation of an engaging activity program at our Health Care Center.
  • Facilitate scheduled group activities as developed by the Activities Supervisor.
  • Participate in evaluating, improving, and creating activities to ensure each resident’s psychosocial well‑being is maintained and their spiritual, physical, intellectual, social and emotional needs are met.
  • Facilitate activities in a manner that allows all residents to participate based on their capabilities, needs, and interests.
  • Evaluate and record residents’ participation in activity programs.
  • Conduct individualized and meaningful 1:1 visits in accordance with each resident’s care plan and document the content of the visits.
  • Encourage and assist residents with participation in leisure activities of choice.
  • Observe and communicate to appropriate staff changes in residents’ mood, behaviors, and needs.
  • Respect, observe and follow residents’ rights and privacy, and ensure residents’ dignity.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and accompanying residents on outings as scheduled.
  • Keep all work and storage areas clean, tidy and organized.
  • Perform the necessary duties for emergency drills and situations such as fire, alarms, hurricanes, and other possible emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Response Playbook.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with corporate, state, and federal safety guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Education/

    Experience:

    One‑year college or technical school certificate, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Proficiency using a computer, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), and other applicable software applications.
  • Physical Demands:
    Regular use of hands, reach, talk or hear; stand, walk, sit often; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities such as close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, etc.
  • Work Environment:
    Exposure to air‑conditioned office environment, indoor without AC, outdoors in all weather, hazardous materials.
