This recruitment is being announced for the job fair on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Hawaii State Capitol, 415 South Beretania Street, 4th floor.
Applicants who receive a Notice of Eligibility confirming their qualifications will be invited to our April 2nd job fair where they can speak with departmental program representatives and leave the job fair with multiple scheduled interview dates and times.
Current vacancies are located in Downtown, Kapolei, and Halawa to Kalihi.

This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill both permanent and temporary vacancies. Employees appointed to temporary positions may gain membership in the civil service upon satisfactory completion of an initial probation period of at least six months. Once you become a member, you become eligible for promotion and transfer opportunities to permanent and other temporary positions.
This recruitment will fill entry-level professional positions in programs such as employee retirement system, public housing, and departmental administrative offices.
As an entry-level trainee, the employee receives on-the-job training in the principles, concepts, work processes, methods, techniques, and reference materials fundamental to the professional work. Work assignments are clear-cut, routine, and designed to develop the employee for higher-level work.
Upon completion of probation and continued satisfactory performance, the employee will be expected to progress to the authorized higher level in the assigned program.
QualificationsTo qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the U.S., or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment. - Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Experience in progressively responsible administrative, professional, or analytical work can substitute on a year-for-year basis when comparable.
- Experience: Demonstrated ability to write clear and comprehensive reports, read and interpret complex written material, and solve complex problems logically and systematically.
- Graduate Notification: Applicants who will graduate within three months and meet the minimum requirement will be accepted for examination. If selected, submit official transcript or diploma confirming graduation.
