The U.S. Indo‑Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Operations Directorate seeks an Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Planner to provide research, analysis, and planning support to the Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) Cell. The role supports U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) operations throughout the Indo‑Pacific, ensuring freedom of action and mission assurance in all domains.
Responsibilities- Aid senior‑level strategic planning and briefings; prepare formal papers and background information for USINDOPACOM and USARPAC senior leadership.
- Provide research and analysis of EW‑related national security policies, military strategies, and capability integration that support USINDOPACOM operations and exercises with a specific focus on USARPAC‑related operations.
- Utilize experience and knowledge to support JEMSO focused on USARPAC operations, ensuring freedom of action and mission assurance across the Indo‑Pacific.
- Additional duties as assigned or required.
- 10 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 8 years relevant experience with a Master’s degree, or High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 14 years relevant experience.
- Experience in Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) operations, capability development, and/or policy.
- Three years of experience at a Combatant Command or Service Component Headquarters.
- Three years of experience in the Indo‑Pacific Area of Operations.
- Familiarity with INDOPACOM Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), Deliberate and Crisis Action Plans, and Operations Plans (OPLANS).
- Experience writing reports, graphics, and information papers.
- Experience analyzing operational data.
- Proficient at Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- TS/SCI clearance (must possess and maintain).
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 15 years of experience in EW ELINT operations, capability development, and/or policy in lieu of a degree.
- 10 years of combined experience in EW operations, capability development, and/or policy.
- Master’s degree and/or attendance at Service Command and General Staff College.
- Background in U.S. Army JEMSO operations.
- Experience coordinating with other DoD entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and INDOPACOM Service Components, as well as non‑DoD organizations such as DHS and State Department.
- Graduate of Joint Electronic Warfare Theater Operations Course.
- Familiarity with JEMSO applications and databases (FADE/MIST, CED, etc.).
Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
