Salary: $6,043 to $7,351 per month (SR-24, Step D to I).
Immediate vacancies with the Department of Agriculture & Biosecurity in Downtown and Department of Land & Natural Resources in Ewa.
Responsibilities- Assist a department director by coordinating various administrative matters.
- Conduct investigations and special studies of departmental problems.
- Prepare reports and recommendations on assigned subjects.
- Assume limited administrative responsibilities as directed and perform other related duties as assigned.
Legal Authorization to Work
The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
Education
A bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year college or university.
Excess work experience may substitute for education on a year‑for‑year basis if it provides comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
General Experience
One and one‑half (1 1/2) years of professional work experience demonstrating ability to prepare comprehensive reports, analyze complex written materials, resolve complex problems, communicate orally, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Specialized Experience
Two (2) years of professional work experience demonstrating responsibility for planning and coordinating program activities, solving operational problems involving administrative processes, and possessing high analytical skill including data collection, problem identification, and development of logical recommendations.
Driver's License
Possession of a valid driver's license required.
