Dir, Financial Reporting at American Savings Bank

Leads the Financial Reporting team in providing accurate, relevant and timely financial information to various internal and external users. Possesses and uses thorough understanding of GAAP, banking regulatory reporting requirements and SEC reporting requirements and is actively involved in determining the proper accounting and reporting treatment of all Bank activities.

• Responsible for oversight of the Bank’s financial information, ensuring that it is in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Manages day-to-day execution within the department and directs staff on accounting issues, risks, analysis, documentation and presentations.
• Provides financial performance insights and analysis to executive leadership monthly.
• Examines integrity of the Bank’s internal control structure over financial reporting.
• Responsible for the proper accounting for federal and state income taxes.

• 8 years of experience in preparing and analyzing consolidated financial statements, SEC reports and other financial information.
• Working with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, efficient research, interpretation and written analysis for accounting treatments.
• Experience working with regulatory reporting requirements is preferred.
• 5 years of supervisory experience.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to organize and perform complex analysis.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and regulatory accounting principles.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Certified Public Accountant preferred.
