First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an analytical, detail‑oriented Mortgage Loan Officer with strong communication skills to generate residential mortgage loan production for our Mortgage Banking Department. In this role, you will generate loan volume through network referral sources, developer projects, and Home by Phone.
Compensation: $16.00 hourly plus commission.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (hours may vary).
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) through NMLS required within 30 days of employment.
- 2 years’ relevant work experience in sales, banking, real estate, or business required.
- Postsecondary degree in Business helpful.
- Excellent communication and sales skills supporting the ability to generate loan volume.
- Able to handle confidential matters judiciously.
- Possesses good math, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Possesses attention to detail with excellent follow‑through.
- Able to plan and organize.
- Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
