Tax Associate

Overview

Join H&R Block as a Tax Associate and play a key role in delivering expert tax services to our clients.

• Conduct face‑to‑face and virtual tax interviews using video, phone, chat, and email tools.
• Prepare complete and accurate federal and state tax returns.
• Identify and offer additional products and services to grow client retention and business growth.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• Grow your tax expertise.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment.
• Ability to work a minimum of 25–35 hours weekly during tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.
• Comfort working with virtual tools—video, phone, and chat.
• Effective communication in person, via phone, and in writing.
• Must meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent or higher.

$11.00 – $27.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Pay decisions are based on job‑related factors such as experience, education, and performance.
