Job Description GeneralJob Duties For All Store Team Members
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills- Understand and give correct written instructions.
- Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
- Make correct monetary change.
- Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders; coordinate hand‑eye movements for speed and accuracy.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures from 36°F to 90°F and above.
- Sudden temperature changes in work area and while outside.
- Fumes from food odors.
- Exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Talking and hearing on telephone; near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Prior QSR experience highly desired.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Standing
Most tasks performed from a standing position; walking surfaces include ceramic tile and linoleum.
WalkingFor short distances for short durations.
SittingPaperwork typically completed in an office at a desk or table.
Lifting- Bulk product deliveries made twice a week or more; unloaded with a hand truck.
- Deliveries may include cases weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Cases usually lifted from floor and stacked on shelves up to 72 inches high.
- Large cans weighing 3 pounds carried from workstation to storage shelves.
- Occasionally pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds carried from storage to front of store.
- Trays of pizza dough carried three at a time; each tray weighs approx. 12 pounds.
- Move trays placed on dollies.
- A stack of trays on a dolly requires a force of up to 7.5 pounds to push.
- Trays may also be pulled.
Infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder for maintenance tasks.
Stooping/Bending- Forward bending at the waist necessary at pizza assembly station.
- Toe room present; workers cannot flex knees while standing at this station.
- Duration ≈ 30–45 seconds per repetition, repeated continuously during the day.
- Forward bending also present at the front counter and when stocking ingredients.
Performed occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching- Continuous reaching up, down and forward.
- Occasional reach above 72 inches to operate oven controls and change sign prices.
- Reach down for tasks such as scooping cornmeal or washing dishes.
- Reach forward when obtaining topping ingredients, cleaning surfaces or answering phones.
- Eye‑hand coordination essential; use of hands continuous throughout the shift.
- Frequent activities require use of one or both hands; shaping dough requires forearm and wrist force.
- Manipulate a pizza peel when removing pizza from the oven, and use rolling cutter.
- Frequent pinching required for assembling cardboard pizza boxes.
- Grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, pizza peel, and pizza boxes.
Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
