SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems. Coordinates system development to include design, engineering, modeling, security, integration, and implementation.

• Experience in modeling/simulation and command/control (C2) systems.
• Understand the Joint Live Virtual Constructive framework in training environments and the interoperability between Simulation (JLCCTC, JCATS, etc.) and C2 systems.
• Experienced professional responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining an organization’s servers, networks, and critical infrastructure.
• Versatile and skilled in administering both Microsoft (Windows Server) and Linux (Red Hat) based environments.
• Experience in design, deploying, and managing virtual environments using both VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and Microsoft Hyper‑V platforms.
• Background in systems engineering, simulation technology, or military operations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Positive, self‑motivated individual who can complete tasks independently and, in a team setting.
• Participates in special projects as required.

• Education:
  
  BS/BA preferred (in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field with concentration in computer‑based technology); or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training.
• Required Experience:
  
  3+ years of related work experience;
  Military training and training support is highly preferred.
• Required Technical
  
  Skills:
  • Experience building Tactical Server Infrastructure (TSI) stacks (V2s).
  • Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Knowledge of VMware (skills and assessment).
  • Understanding of DISA STIGs.
  • WAN/LAN experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment; strong knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Experience installing and configuring multiple software programs.
• Certification:
  CompTIA SEC+ required.
• Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
