HDR in Honolulu as a Transportation Senior Project Manager!

At HDR, we're 100% employee-owned and driven by the idea that we can make Hawai'i better—one project at a time. We're looking for an experienced Transportation Senior Project Manager to help lead major infrastructure initiatives across the islands.

In this role, you’ll:
  • Lead large, complex, multidisciplinary transportation projects from planning through completion
  • Oversee multiple high‑impact projects at once while keeping quality, budgets, and schedules on point
  • Strengthen client relationships and take an active role in business development, proposals, and strategic planning
  • Guide collaborative design sessions with your team, partners, and community stakeholders
  • Manage staffing and project workloads with a sharp eye on deliverables and deadlines
  • Monitor project finances, lead QA/QC efforts, and conduct key project reviews with operational leaders
  • Mentor emerging project managers and foster a culture of excellence
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree
  • PMP certification

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 10 years related experience
  • A minimum of 5 years project management experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
  • MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be a plus)
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must
