SummaryNew Venture Research Corporation (NVRC) is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions supporting critical defense programs. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer to provide hands‑on, real‑time support in a dynamic environment. This role will utilize their deep expertise in Cisco, Dell, and Palo Alto technologies to support a DoD customer. The Senior Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain robust enterprise and campus network infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Implement and manage VLANs, site‑to‑site VPNs, and end‑to‑end encryption solutions.
- Provide expert‑level support for Cisco, Dell, and Palo Alto network devices.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
- Mentor and support junior network engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth‑oriented team environment.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Bridge on‑premise infrastructure with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Ensure network security, performance, and reliability across all layers of the enterprise.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Cisco, Dell Networking, and Palo Alto firewalls
- Proven experience with VLAN configuration and management
- Proven experience with site‑to‑site VPNs and encryption protocols
- Proven experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
- Proven experience with Layer 2/3 switching
- Experience integrating on‑premise networks with cloud infrastructure
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Experience mentoring or leading junior engineers
- Preferred:
Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.) - Preferred:
Familiarity with SD‑WAN and Zero Trust architectures
- Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, or similar field (Master’s Degree preferred)
- CCNA Certification (Relevant certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, Dell Networking, etc. are preferred)
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise network engineering
Travel up to 15% is required.

Clearance Type RequiredCandidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance; existing active TS with SCI eligibility is highly preferred.
