Conditions:
For placement in department lecturer pool for Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025. Contingent on course offerings (ranging from 3 to 6 credits per semester), sufficient enrollment, position clearance, and availability of funds. Appointment based on a semester basis.
- Teach Linguistics 410 (Articulatory Phonetics), Linguistics 640S (Sociolinguistics), Linguistics 645 (Comparative Methods), Linguistics 680 (Introduction to Language Documentation), and other assigned courses.
- MA in Linguistics or related discipline.
- High-level command of phonetics, sociolinguistics, historical linguistics and language documentation & conservation.
- PhD with specialization in phonetics, sociolinguistics, historical linguistics or language documentation & conservation.
- College-level classroom experience teaching linguistics.
