To fulfill teaching expectations and classroom management as instructed by the teacher on leave. Teach children how to be physically fit and to provide basic motor skill and movement education development.

• Follow lesson plans provided by the Teacher on Leave in physical education and health with students through the use of lectures, planned activities and games which include physical fitness, movement education and sports skills.
• Prepare for the day’s physical education classes by setting up equipment, setting boundaries or playing fields, resets for the next set of classes and ensures that all equipment is stored properly for the next use.
• Maintain class order and discipline by managing student behavior; reinforces rules of the school and the physical education class.
• Evaluate students’ performances through the use of objective measurement and make recommendations.
• Record the attendance of students on a daily basis.
• Notify the office of any serious disciplinary issues and academic dishonesty situations.
• Report illnesses or injuries to the school nurse
• Provide a report of the classes covered to the Teacher on Leave
• Demonstrates a high degree of self-efficacy and holds themselves accountable for learner outcomes and
• advocates for their students.
• Works efficiently within existing learning structures and believes in the capability of their students to excel.
• Facilitates problem-solving.
• Serves as a role-model to students.

• Spiritual :
  
  Must have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of his/her life and demonstrate a living relationship with Jesus Christ as described in “The Baptist Faith and Message”, the tenets of the Southern Baptist denomination.
• Skills/Knowledge :
  
  Knowledge of games, skills, and strategies. Stay current in knowledge of field of P.E.
• Education/Training :
  Bachelors degree in Physical Education from an accredited college or university or in area of expertise.
  
  Commercial driver’s license.
  
  CPR and First Aid.
• Experience :
  
  One year of physical education or related experience.
  
  Previous athletic or sports related experience preferred.
