Special funds. Appointment to begin late February 2026 or soon thereafter. Renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance, department needs, and availability of funds.
- Under the direction of the Department Chair, assist with planning and managing program operations to include creation, implementation, interpretation, and maintenance of day-to-day functions, policies, practices, and systems.
- Assist in all aspects of candidate development including recruitment, the admissions process, course registrations, and course evaluations, through to commencement.
- Provide support in all areas pertaining to course scheduling, event planning, fiscal, personnel, program evaluation, and travel.
- Assist in fielding inquiries by phone, in-person, or electronically regarding requests for information, materials, applications, notices, etc.
- Work with the Graduate Division and Outreach College to provide support services to faculty and students through BANNER, Outcomes, etc.
- Prepare and track required documents for students including student records, course documents, and student reports, letters, etc.
- Design flyers, presentations, and other informational/outreach materials.
- Monitor and update department's online information sites such as the COE website, Facebook, Linked In and other social media sites as required.
- Prepare annual program budget projections for personnel and operating expenditures; reconcile using the University financial system. Verify that expenses are aligned in the program budget and comply with University policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications- Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Education, Arts & Humanities, Business, Communication, Social Science or related field and 0 years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for administration/office management or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
- Functional knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of administration/office management demonstrated by knowledge, understanding and ability to apply concepts, terminology.
- Functional knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and systems associated with administration/office management.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve the full range problems that may commonly occur in the area of administration or office management.
- Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer, apply word processing software, and organize data in spreadsheet programs.
- Experience processing personnel and other HR documents.
- Experience providing academic and support services to students, including but not limited to processing admissions, student records, and/or course documents.
- Familiarity with electronic financial systems such as Kuali Financial System, eTravel, SECE.
- Familiarity with academic systems such as BANNER, Outcomes, Star System, Student Information System (SIS), Giving Tree.
- Familiarity with shared drives like Google Drive and Next Cloud.
