Overview
This posting is used to fill various Educational Assistant positions at the specified location. The authorized level is Educational Assistant III. Applications are being accepted down to Educational Assistant I in the event of recruiting difficulties.
Salary RangeEducational Assistant I, SR-10: $3,019.78 per month
Educational Assistant II, SR-12: $3,260.76 per month
Educational Assistant III, SR-14: $3,526.98 per month
Applicants must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent AND one of the following minimum education requirements established under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001:
In addition to substitutions listed below, applicants must have experience as described.
Note:
one school year is defined as approximately 180 duty days or about 38 weeks per year.

General 0 years;
Specialized 0 years - Educational Assistant II:
General 1 year;
Specialized 0 years - Educational Assistant III:

General
Experience:
Direct interaction with people, ability to organize materials, maintain records, and write brief descriptions of occurrences or observations. Familiarity with basic educational programs and activities gained through involvement in school/community activities.
Specialized
Experience:
Direct contact with students, including student management, familiarity with common educational and behavioral problems, use of instructional materials and equipment, and performing instructional or counseling tasks.
Driver s License:
Some positions require possession of a current, valid driver s license.
Lift and Carry:
Some positions require ability to lift up to 65 pounds and/or lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Quality of
Experience:
The required years of experience alone do not guarantee qualification. The overall experience must demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Salary information is based on full-time employment and includes applicable shifts/differentials.
RequirementsApplicants must meet all requirements for the position as of the application date. Education and experience requirements may not be gained concurrently. Calculation of experience is based on full-time, 40-hour weeks. Part-time experience is pro-rated. Example:
Twelve months at 20 hours/week equals six months.
Temporary Assignment (TA) experience may be used to meet minimum qualifications if documented and attached to the application: TA History Report, supervisor letter with TA details, or signed SF-10 forms.
