Aplin has partnered with one of North America’s leading construction firms to recruit an Estimator for their growing operations in Hawaii, USA.
This role will focus on delivering accurate estimates for large construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed quantity take-offs, evaluating project risks, and supporting estimating strategies across building projects.
The Estimator will work closely with internal teams and project stakeholders to manage bid documentation, evaluate costs, and contribute to competitive proposals. Reporting to the Chief Estimator, this position will also support projects involving facility expansions, renovations, and new building sections, with exposure to self-perform productivity estimating and lump sum or hard bid pursuits.
Responsibilities- Lead and prepare estimates for construction projects valued at $25M and above
- Complete accurate quantity take-offs and cost analyses
- Manage and review bid documents and tender submissions
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and cost drivers
- Support lump sum and hard bid pursuits
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to estimating strategies including self-perform productivity analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of construction estimating experience
- Experience estimating new builds, renovations, additions, or facility expansions
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and bid processes
- Ability to manage multiple estimates in a fast-paced environment
- Competitive salary range of $103,000 – $135,000 USD, depending on experience
