Safety Coordinator

Safety Worxs is seeking experienced Construction Safety Professionals to support ongoing heavy‑civil projects in Honolulu, HI. These roles are field‑based and require strong boots‑on‑the‑ground leadership to ensure compliance with EM 385‑1‑1, OSHA standards, and project‑specific safety requirements.

The ideal candidate is proactive, visible in the field, confident engaging crews, and committed to maintaining a high‑performance safety culture in dynamic construction environments.

• Enforce and administer site‑specific safety programs in compliance with EM 385‑1‑1 and OSHA regulations
• Conduct daily jobsite inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits
• Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors; implement corrective actions
• Lead and document toolbox talks and safety meetings
• Support and/or lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Review and monitor high‑risk activities (excavation, heavy equipment, lifting, confined space, etc.)
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
• Collaborate with project leadership and subcontractors to reinforce safety expectations
• Promote a proactive, accountable safety culture across all trades

• 5+ years of construction safety experience (heavy civil preferred)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
• EM 385‑1‑1 experience preferred
• Experience supporting high‑risk construction activities
• Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced field environments
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting

• OSHA 500
• CSHO or other advanced safety certifications
• Experience on federal or P3 infrastructure projects
• Full‑time
