The HSFCU Summer Internship Program is a full-time, 8-week paid experience designed for motivated students interested in exploring careers in financial services. The program provides practical exposure to credit union operations. Interns gain valuable hands-on experience, work alongside supportive teams, build professional skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that enhance the employee and member experience.
Key Program Details- Program Dates:
June 15 – August 7, 2026 - Pay: $20/hour
- Schedule:
Full-time, Monday – Friday (8 hours/day) - Shift Times:
Shifts may vary between 7:30am and 5:00pm - Application Window:
February 13 – March 31, 2026
As part of the Community Impact team, you will help support programs and activities that strengthen our connection to members, partners, and local organizations across Hawai i.
- Support community event execution, including planning, on-site assistance, and post-event reporting.
- Create and publish internal promotional content to boost visibility of Community Impact initiatives.
- Manage program logistics such as preparing materials, coordinating distribution, and tracking timelines.
- Assist in developing financial literacy resources, including branch toolkits and educational materials for community partners.
- Participate in meetings and site visits with key community organizations to gain exposure to collaborative impact work.
- Currently a Junior or Senior enrolled in a four-year degree program at an accredited college or university, OR enrolled in a two-year Hawai program with plans to transfer to a four-year Hawai institution
- Basic proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong organization, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and receive feedback
- Ability to follow instructions, work with minimal supervision, and complete assigned tasks
- Professionalism in a business environment
- Prior internship or work experience not required
