- Provides administrative, fiscal, and program management analysis support to project faculty and staff.
- Participate in the formulation of program operational plans, including writing of internal program controls.
- Prepare, facilitate, and/or process purchase orders, direct payments, travel requests/completions, contracts, stipends and other related procurement and fiscal activities in RCUH, KFS, UHF and eTravel systems, ensuring compliance with agency, federal, state and University rules and regulations.
- Reviews, authorizes and initiates procurement of equipment and supplies, including preparation of specifications and securing appropriate bids from vendors.
- Review monthly expenditures and university reports and maintains accurate accounting of project budget information and expenditures, develop financial spreadsheets, and perform regular audits and reconciliations as necessary.
- Coordinate, plan, and direct, in conjunction with the project director, meetings, conferences, workshops and major training events, including assisting with logistics, developing agendas and materials, managing participant registration, & identifying key stakeholders/attendees. Work at various geographical site/school locations, including neighbor island, and work on some weekends for project-related activities.
- Communicate with Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE) teachers and schools about project activities and requisite project and procurement documentation.
- Organize data collection for project evaluation, including administration of surveys and collection of video recordings and teacher artifacts.
- Coordinate and maintain the collection of consent and assent forms in the preparation of University human studies applications, renewals, and modifications.
- Assist with executing data sharing agreements (DSA) with the HIDOE; including the submission through the UH data governance process and follow up with requesting data based on the data sharing agreements with the HIDOE.
- Prepares the submittal of grant applications by reviewing budgets, proofreading proposal and budget narratives.
- Prepare and edit reports, agendas, letters, and complex documents such as quarterly and annual reports that require specific formatting; and gather, interpret and analyze terminology and research for project requirements.
- In collaboration with project director, disseminate project written reports and maintain and update project website and databases.
- Keep abreast of current University policies, procedures, regulations, directives and State and Federal statutory requirements, i.e., Hawaii Revised Statutes, Hawaii Administrative Rules, and Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Education, Social Sciences or related field and 3 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for project management; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
- Considerable working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of extramurally-funded project coordination as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts, principles and methodologies.
- Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and theories and systems associated with program management.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve wide ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective, innovative and timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team leaders and members, and individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.
- If applicable, for supervisory work, demonstrated ability to lead subordinates, manage work priorities and projects, and manage employee relations.
