Join us for a paid 10 week summer internship at the YMCA of Honolulu!

SUMMARY

The Learning & Development Intern supports the YMCA of Honolulu’s mission to strengthen community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility by assisting with core HR operations and compliance functions.

This internship provides hands‑on experience in Learning and Development, supporting the design, coordination, and continuous improvement of training initiatives across the organization. The intern will assist with organizing training materials, tracking participation and completion data, and supporting the implementation of professional development programs. There may also be opportunities to contribute ideas that enhance employee learning experiences and strengthen engagement through innovative tools or delivery methods.

This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in compliance, HR systems, and operational efficiency within a nonprofit organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Interest in non-profit HR.
  • Ability to commit 20 hours a week.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
