Help

• Perform complex inventory and financial analyst across automated systems (e.g., Enterprise External Business Portal, Enterprise Business Systems, Fuel Manager Defense) to ensure accountability and audit readiness.
• Research and resolve inventory and accounting discrepancies, implementing corrective actions to strengthen internal controls.
• Interprets supply management and financial regulations to ensure compliance with DoD and DLA accountability standards.
• Coordinates with Defense Fuel Support Points, accounting personnel, and stakeholders to validate transactions and resolve cross-functional inventory issues.
• Analyze supply and financial data trends to identify risks, recommend process improvements, and brief leadership on findings.

Specialized

Experience:

One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

• Apply extensive knowledge of inventory management, financial accountability, and automated supply systems supporting petroleum operations to analyze and resolve complex transactional or systemic issues.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements to strengthen accountability and reduce audit risk.
• Interpret and apply supply, financial, and regulatory guidance to ensure compliance in situations involving conflicting data or incomplete information.
• Independently assess patterns, trends, or problem areas affecting inventory accuracy and develop data-driven recommendations.
• Coordinate with functional stakeholders to resolve cross-organizational discrepancies impacting financial or inventory records.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
