Position: Full-time, Payment Processing Clerk
Location: Downtown Honolulu
Industry: Energy
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Pay: $21.00 per hour

The primary responsibility of the Payment Processing Clerk is to handle department mail and process customer payments in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Banking, cashiering, and payment/bill handling experience is highly desirable, along with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Job Duties- Receive and apply customer payments from mail, drop box, and in-person transactions; balance all payments, resolve discrepancies, and prepare daily cash reports.
- Perform cash processing and account updates, including creating and depositing checks, processing disbursement requests, and handling non-routine payments for Oahu, Maui, and Hawaii Island using online systems.
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone and written correspondence; retrieve and verify account information, and coordinate with banks and other entities for proper payment application.
- Handle clerical tasks such as opening mail, sorting checks, typing letters, generating Excel reports, maintaining logs and files, and distributing bills and reports.
- Answer phones, provide routine information, take messages, and support the processing of field work documentation as needed.
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- 2 years of general office experience preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in using a PC and Microsoft software programs.
