Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring the integrity of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing general ledger activities, preparing financial statements, and performing account reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare comprehensive and accurate financial statements for management review.

- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify consistency between internal records and external statements.

- Record and post journal entries while maintaining organized documentation and supporting schedules.

- Reconcile various accounts to ensure financial accuracy.

- Update and manage the general ledger to reflect current financial activities.

- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely completion.

- Collaborate with different departments to gather and validate financial data.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including general ledger management.

- Proficiency in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and journal entries.

- Experience in preparing financial statements and conducting bank reconciliations.

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

- Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
