TheJob Role Details:
As the Agricultural Machinery Operator, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day operations of our farm, ensuring efficiency and productivity in all agricultural tasks. This is a varied role that will require you to work with a range of machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:Operate tractors, sprayers, cultivators and harvest machinery for fieldwork, including ploughing, planting, spraying, and harvesting.
Maintain accurate records for compliance and audit readiness.
Operate and maintain associated farm machinery.
Assist with groundwork, weeding, and general fieldwork as required.
Support additional operations during peak times, including harvesting and yard work.
Assist with the movement and transportation of materials, fresh produce, and equipment around the farm.
Carry out general farm duties such as hedge cutting, rolling, and fertilising.
Work alongside farm managers and other team members to ensure smooth day‑to‑day farm operations.
Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Experience in the agricultural, farming or fresh produce sectors.
Experience operating / driving farm machinery.
PA1, PA2, PA4 and / or PA6 qualified – desirable.
Skilled in the safe and efficient operation of spraying equipment.
An understanding of pesticide application, crop protection, and legislative compliance.
Forklift trained.
A full UK driving licence to get to the site, as the farm is remote.
Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team environment.
