We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and collaborative person to join our Street Scene office team. This role is diverse and will oversee our small and friendly administration and business support team, ensuring that our paid services run smoothly and efficiently, and our operations teams are supported effectively. In addition, the post-holder would ensure that both of our depot offices in Sidmouth and Exmouth continue to be safe, functional spaces for our staff to work and thrive in.
In short, you will be pivotal to the success of a dedicated, highly valued, publicly visible, seven days a week service making a tangible and lasting impact on how East Devon looks and feels.
You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, great accuracy and attention to detail as well as the ability to balance the competing demands of a busy frontline service. You’ll also have proven experience in business administration or office management in a similar environment, ideally but not necessarily, within a local authority setting. You will need to be able to travel across the district to attend site meetings and must hold a valid driving licence (reasonable adjustments may be possible according to the Equality Act).
