What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)- Member Engagement:
Act as the face of the Cooperative, assisting members via phone, email, and in person with a professional and helpful demeanor. - Account Management:
Process service requests (connections, disconnects, meter changes) and maintain accurate digital records and Electric Service Agreements. - Financial Transactions:
Securely process payments, manage and balance cash drawers, and prepare daily deposits. - Operational Support:
Support administrative tasks including report compilation, easement recording, and inventory management. - Promotion:
Educate members on available services, promotional programs, and account options.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED required (Associate’s degree preferred). - Experience:
2+ years in an office or customer service environment (or 2 years of college in lieu of experience). - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and on a 10‑key; experience with iVUE or CIS systems is a major plus. - Soft Skills:
Excellent communication (especially under difficult circumstances), ability to prioritize changing workloads, and a strong team‑player mindset. - Language:
Bilingual skills are highly preferred.
- Safety & Training:
Must maintain annual certifications in First‑Aid, CPR, and Fire Extinguisher safety (training provided). - Mobility:
Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and be willing to travel within our 17‑county service territory as needed. - Flexibility:
Ability to work overtime during emergency conditions or as the job warrants.
Salary: $26.22 per hour
